It is the term given to foods that are served quickly. Fast food is also known Quick Service Restaurant. Food is served faster because it is preheated or precooked.  Typical meal combinations consist of French fries, hamburger, spaghetti, pizza, with drinks and desserts. New culinary treats with meat (beef or chicken) are also introduced.  Despite some fast food chain healthful offerings, the menus still tend to include foods high in fat, sugar, calories, and low in fiber and nutrients.  Single meal from one of the restaurant often contains high calories that’s why eating at fast food often is associated with more weight gain and insulin resistance in some adults. It is advised to watch carefully what you eat, especially at fast food restaurants. Be aware of the nutritional content of any food being offered.  Obesity and diabetes are on the rise, the value of healthy eating habits must be given attention.
